Pikes Peak Hill Climb 2027 and road closures
The "Race to the Clouds" runs up the Pikes Peak Highway. If you are visiting in late June 2027, plan around it.

The course is 12.42 miles with 156 turns and finishes at 14,115 ft. The 2026 race was on June 21, 2026.
The Highway's own pages describe race day as "the third Sunday in June", but the 2027 race is on June 27, the fourth Sunday. Go by the announced date, not the rule of thumb.
